My first work in Bronze, created at the Symposium “Westwärts – Neuer Kontext” organized by Künstlerwerkgemeinschaft Kaiserslautern in the spring of 2023. The work was created using "the lost foam method", i.e. the original was formed in Styrofoam, after which it was placed in a sand mold where the hot bronze was poured directly. The bronze burns the foam and takes over the shape of the Styrofoam. In the end result, even the prints of the small balls of the foam can still be found here and there! After this, the prefabricated printed circuit board parts and lighting were added to the work. The name K-town cube refers to the nickname of the city of Kaiserslautern: K-town. This name was given to the city by the Americans. A large part of the city's residents are American because of the adjacent Rammstein air base.
